Okay, I have a problem. I cannot help it, and I am admitting it now. I am ready to tell my friends, family members, and the Flash community. Here it goes…I have a particle addiction *sigh*.
Wow, that was a lot to get off my chest. But for the past three days, I have been working on a game that comprises of nothing but shooting particles at each other. Burst (working title) fits it’s name well, because there are about 100-200 particles shooting across the screen at any given time.
I usually manage to sneak particles into the rest of my games, or even center particles in the game (for example, Ellipsis or Spin Doctor). But this game is going to be climax of the particle engines I have been making. This game can get nuts, and I can’t wait to release it in the coming days.

Particles is what made me enter in your site for first time, back in the old times of BR2 (I remember I entered in your site and didn’t understand any English!)
Next time, make some blood particles on Dark Cut 3.
Particles AND stars. And I am glad you were ready to admit it. But frankly, we already knew…
Don’t forget to add ‘Chick-fil-A’ to your addiction list as well.
No wai! :O
That game looks (and sounds) seriously awesome! I can’t wait to play it
!
I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes I lie awake at night thinking of ways to create dazzling fireworks displays in AS3 – I’m not even kidding, its really quite sad…
In your case however, I’ve always been a big fan of your square particles – they just look so unnatural… like you’d never see an instance of it outside of the surreal
Awesome, I can’t wait until its finished. My computer will blow up from all the particles.
Well if we add ‘Chick-fil-A’ we might have to add ‘El Pollo Loco’ as well… This list has the potential to get quite large.
I just played the finished game, and my thoughts can be summed up in 1-word.
“This game rocks the house, kicks your butt, leaves you wanting more particles, and doesn’t slow down until you pass the game”
Looks like I actually needed 20-words.
