Almost a year after the release of the first game, I’m more than happy to announce that The Last Stand 2: Stand Laster has been in production for 5 months and is nearing being ready for release.
The game has a number of features that I really wanted to include in the first game but due to a lack of time and sufficient programming knowledge, I had to put them aside. Here’s a brief rundown of what to expect:
Features include:
- New zombie types - They’re getting smarter
- New dynamic difficulty setting - No more Mr.EasyGame
- New search mechanic - You choose the buildings to search
- New weapons - 5 new weapons, all different from one another
- Explosives - Variety of things that go boom
- Traps - Bear traps, Explodable gas cylinders & Landmines
- Ability to give survivors most weapons you’ve found to use themselves!
- Multiple and varied locations, travel across the state
- New graphics/effects - Guns have been overhauled, blood particles etc
It will be out before GTA IV. If it’s not, we’re in trouble because I just don’t see the my game coming out on top in a bout against everyone’s desire to rampage through New York as an eastern European underworld figure.
The game will be released on Armor Games in the next few weeks, so keep your eye out.

I have a few questions, that may apply to real life logic. Does where u search now affect what weapons you get? (i.e. chainsaw in the hardware store, that SAW in the lower right from a military base)
More varied survivors, not just that random old man and photographer, but like a few businessmen/workers or soldiers?

Yeah, I’ve got the first one down to a bit of a science (11 hours to get the 357, 10 hours for the UMP45, etc.), so, now it’s time to get my head chomped by the next breed of zombies…

looks like another awesome zombie game, i think you should make this game downloadable, i like the idea of letting survivors use your weapons, using a bow will be nice, will there be a crossbow too? just wondering, i would like to see some more mele weapons, like machettes, and slegehammers, maybe an axe, among the new weapons added, but that’s just me, i like the idea of traps also, seems like you have some great ideas

GTA is fast approaching. As Far as the question a few posts above me, I’m going to assume that the release would be any day now. The blog post says “It WILL be out before GTA”- thats only a week or so away. I check here everyday when I am at work just to see. The Last Stand is the best zombie game online and I am a zombie fanatic. Not that it should be implemented, but it would be funny if there were zombie cameos to go with that romero cameo. Like, the first zombie on night of the living dead or zombies in the mall security uniforms from Dawn of the dead 2004- hell, even a few zombies or survivors in Racoon City Police uniforms would be funny.
I must say that I hate zombie games mostly, but this is masterpiece and I love it. But true faster it will be out, the better will it be.

I suppose you guys are editing all the negative posts out then. Trying to make everyone else see the good stuff… lol… you could have given a realisitic date and avoided that. I know a few people personally who have inquired about a release date or something like that…. Edit this one out as well.

Some suggestions -
- Different endings
- Hot girl zombies (I know it sounds sick but it will get more people)
- If there are going to be boss battles (hopefully), for the background music i would have to recommend either “Take this life - in flames” OR “Fucking bow down - Born of Osiris”.
- In the veraity of things that will go boom, put rocket luncher (Brains all over the place)
- Keep the diary, it makes you want to keep playing
- Make a few zombies that say “BRAINS CHUMP” or stuff.
- Have background music throughout the whole game, if it’s not too much data

I agree with hi and Drake4747. the game should, or please put in the game, a survival mode. (rocks more than the story mode idea, unless it has no ending) The first one was a great game dude. ‘preciate you giving us gamers something to love. based on what these people are writing in their comments, i think the game should have been released before this month. what happened? NOT rushing you though, it might spoil the game. Masterpiece, dude, masterpiece.

Due to lack of photo’s (there are only 3) and lack of updates (there have been no updates) I’m betting this is vaporware. Im not a spammer or troll im just putting 2 and 2 together. Think about it, very few photos, no updates whatsoever, its getting very close to the release of GTAIV, I’m going to continue to check hoping I’m wrong but it just all adds up to being vaporware.

WAAAAYYY to rushed. You find almost no survivors, I only found 2 and one of them just stood there and didn’t shoot anyone. The game is nice and easy, until you reach Jamestown. Jamestown alone took me 4 tries to beat. The game was too short. And when you search the places you never find anything: almost no supplies, few weapons, total of 2 survivors for me. Simple conclusion: the game was too rushed. 6/10
I also noticed a bug. One of me guys had died, and then the barricade reached 0 health, the dead guy got up and ran away.

Mike, calm down, it’s just a game, and half of your complaints aren’t close to being true. Last Stand 2 isn’t just a Last Stand with more weapons and a map, you can now go into the places on the map, set traps up for your aid, and travel to about 6 or 7 cities total, and you have 40 days to get to the end of the game; otherwise you are a dead man. Also, why would a functioning game deserve a 0/10, that’s like saying it was stolen or was broken on purpose, and about the length of the game, it is longer than the first game, and if that is not enough for you, maybe you were just expecting way too much. All in all, this game is better than the first, but is much harder and sometimes searching is based off of luck, but either way, I guess I could thank you for posting a message. Peace. -1337 H4×0R

I have played it a couple of times and found most the stuff. It is a good concept.But I think more weapons and survivors should be available. Or you should be able to revisit cities once you have better weapons to defend yourself. And It goes by to fast I guess due to the traveling. You should have to hold your positions in union city also maybe help with the extraction of people. Mind you I am a war vet speaking. It was a good game not great but with some debugging and maybe revisit a few small feats. it will be just a good as the first one which was the greatest one ever. 8/10

i passed night 77 in Jonestown with .357 revolver & 3 survivors without guns
i know im aking pretty early but is there any chance of a third game i mean he did kinda set the end of the second one up to have another sequel something like they walk over the hill and they find the town to be completely over-run and they have to fight there way through it all and then he could have a twist where everyone is dead and then your guy is the only one left and so he has to survive get out of there on a boat and then maybe the next game after that(if he feels like making another one after that(cant blame him if he doesnt)) could be somethin about the guy after he crosses the ocean and has to fight his way through Europe although im just spitballin crazy ideas you can shoot ‘em down if you want but plzzz be gentle lol
all you guys who are moaning about how crap it is, your just some sad mardy gaming freaks who expect last stand 2 to be a game which is as addictive and impressive as GTA IV and the games fucking awesome i dont find anything wrong with it, like nickos said why dont you try and make a game like that? it will take ages if you have the skills to do it, i do flash and its not as easy as all you lot think.

SICK! I love it. And I haven’t even played it! I played the first one, however, and I loved it. And just the 3 screen shots I saw for LS2, makes it look bad ass! I can’t wait! When is the projected date? I know you are giving us a general area (before GTA IV) but, do you have a week or maybe even a specific date when you’d like to see it done and ready for your numerous amounts of fans to play it? Whatever the case may be, I am looking forward to it. You should make a code so we can put it on our sites, like my space or something!

the game looks better than the first, the cool weapons the traps and the guy now has a beard. nice.

And man I love that minime weapon. It’s so much fun but I never get more than a night or two to play with it (supplies to travel are hard to come by, it seems).
