The Devil is in the Details

Angel’s and Demon’s is having a ‘Path to Illumination‘ contest. In the contest you have to complete several levels in various flash games. One of their games is called ‘Air’ and it draws some similarities to Jmtb02‘s hit game ‘Compulse.

I’m partial and biased when it comes to Jmtb02′s games, so I’ll let you be the judge. Play both games and leave a comment letting us know what you think.

  1. Not the greatest. Quite laggy.

  2. I am probably biased here as well, but I like Jmtb02′s game better. It has more personality to it: creative sound effects, colorful, imaginative.

The Air game was very similar in game play, but it is a bit drier, and definitely not as colorful. This Air game is a lot like Jmtb02′s game though, even down to the line that the ball traces.

  3. Will have to try this…however I would just like to comment that I like the new Favicon on the website…

    It looks much better :)

  4. well does no law include this? in Germany we have a law that prohibits stealing of “intellectual property” especcially when profit is included – I am sure this site is making money with it..

    well it’s up to Jmbt02 ;)

  5. Nice But Not Perfect.

  6. Air is such a ripoff of The amazing compulse

  7. I favor Compulse heavily over Air. Compulse has more color and feeling, as well as the scoring being based on the number of boxes used rather than the distance of the path the ball travels.

The difference in scoring is pretty significant, as I think using less boxes and a longer path should not be penalized if it comes up with a fun solution.

I think Air was designed not so much for fun as to offer a puzzle system that could distinguish how much effort and time was put into shaving off marginal points of distance.

  8. The two games are identical except for the manner of presentation (which includes the graphics, the specific levels, etc.). That’s not my opinion. That is a fact.

I don’t think it’s a matter of judging which game is better, because they’re the same game. I think it’s a matter judging whether or not I’m seeing double.

Armor Games, you used to be Games of Gondor, but the system said you had stolen that name and couldn’t use it anymore. Now it’s your turn to stand up for yourself when the system is stealing something from you.

  9. Compulse is better

  10. Most countries in the third world never respects intellectual property rights. piracy is so rampant in asian countries.;;.

  11. intellectual property is not really respected in most countries in asia where piracy is so rampant.`*,

  12. Compulse is much more addicting that Air. I found that the colours and different directional options were better in Compulse. Also liked watching the ball bounce around while waiting for is to reach the goal.

  13. there are so many intellectual property and copyright violations these days*.-

  14. intellectual property is not observed by poor countries in the third world, in fact they like piracy:,;

  15. intellectual property is always a concern these days because of the very fast update in technology;`*

  16. in China, they do not respect intellectual property at all. too many software and movie pirates out there .~:
